I came across this poem over the Christmas holidays at my mother’s house stuck to a mirror and thought how poignant it was. It would be interesting to have a mirror that reflected our inner soul rather than our outward appearance. If we all had Living Eulogy boxes perhaps it would help us focus on the qualities of our inner beauty. Equally let us be generous with our recognition of those qualities in others.
I expect to pass through this world but once,
Any good thing, therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature,
Let me do it now;
Let me not deter or neglect it, for I shall not come this way again.
I am in the process of sourcing suitable notecards and boxes -the sales of which, I hope, will raise money for the Seasons for Growth Programme which helps children cope with significant loss or change in their lives.
